The Glen Canyon NRA was created
in 1953, when the Glen Canyon
Dam was completed. It took until
1980 to fill Lake Powell.
Lake Powell is a beautiful blue lake
set between red and orange mesa's,
offering stunning vista's. Lake
Powell attracts large number of
water sport enthusiasts and can be
very busy during the summer -
especially on weekends.
Near Lake Powell you will find
Antelope Canyon - definitely worth a
visit.
