Red Rock Canyon

Just outside of Las Vegas you will find this scenic natural area. Red Rock
canyon is a valley with rugged red rocks on the west side that reach up
more than 3000 feet.
There are several short hikes at Red Rock Canyon, all starting along the
loop drive.
One of the most popular hikes is into Pine Creek Canyon. This hike is a
two-mile round trip which leads to the ruins of a homestead near a
creek, surrounded by large ponderosa pine trees.

elevations til wel into the summer.
